Katie completed General Assembly’s FEWD course in January 2014. Studies in web development are on-going and she has been coding in her free time since.

In addition to working as a designer, Katie is also a design educator for the Academy of Art University San Francisco’s online graphic design department.

She has taught ‘Nature of Interaction’ for 7 consecutive semesters.

Katie documents digital design resources for herself and shares them in the Design Tools section of this website (hoping her students find and use them).

Forage Press

In collaboration with founder (and husband) Tomi Lahdesmaki, Katie has played a supporting design role to Forage Press. Forage Press launched as an experiment in passion — bringing audio and visual creativity together.

As a behind the scenes manager of Forage Press Katie has supported with copywriting, print and digital design, as well as front end development for various online materials.
